Lytisha took part in the LEADD:NG programme during 2020 -2022. Live, Experiential and Digital Diversification: Nottingham (LEADD:NG) is a programme led by the University of Nottingham (UoN) and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in partnership with Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and the Midlands Engine. During that period Lytisha was awarded an Arts Council DYCP grant to develop her understanding of VR, XR and learn with the LEADD:NG programme. This led onto the opportunity to create, develop and show A Journey Inside, a virtual reality poetry experience.

Graphic Design 2020

In March 2020 a cohort of six local poets were invited to work with the first year Graphic Design students at NTU. We were filmed reading five pieces and talking about the context and background to the mini collections. This project began the week prior to the Covid-19 lockdown in March 2020, so I hope you will agree that to see the results achieved under such difficult conditions is nothing short of amazing. As a traditional event was impossible, the website was developed and showcases some of the outcomes. UNESCO City of Literature wrote about the collaboration here.

Media Studies 2019

For this 2019 project NTU Media students created a film to go with my poem Patience. Video produced by Ella Farnsworth, filmed by Chloe Coombs and Aleksandra Giernatowska at Nottingham Trent University 2019.

Universities of Nottingham & Cambridge: Multilingualism, Empowering Individuals, Transforming Societies – MEITS

Working with the University of Nottingham, Ideal at NCC, Nottingham Writers Studio, and local schools. Devising and delivering creative writing workshops for pupils with English as an additional Language.

The 2020 sessions with Ellis Guilford School had to be delivered a little differently due to the restrictions of the Corona virus pandemic. This year I devised remote workshops which were delivered on-line to pupils, some at home and some in school. Quite a different experience for not only myself and the school and university staff, but also the pupils. We still created a fabulous collaborative poem with contributions from the speakers of all six languages participating.
